Does anyone else use there IPhone for internet access on their laptop? I do and I must say it is as good as my dsl, and much more reliable. I am going to do some bandwidth place tests...

It works great. I stayed at firmware 3.0.1 so I did have to jailbreak it.

If it craps out under warranty or Apple Care extended Apple is now
refusing warranty on phones that have been jail broken or unlocked.

I have an old Palm Treo 700P, using my $6/month data plan
on Sprint I can tether all I want with no costs thanks to PdaNet.

Check it out, it might save you some coin.
