Now that we've had a chance to tune in...anyone really enjoying any of the new shows this year?

I wouldn't know. About all I watch (for real) is late night shows on CW.

I haven't seen much either. I would like to check out The Next Great American Band, which starts tonight...wish I had DVR, so I could catch it.

I just wanted to get other people's opinions, in case I might be missing something good.


Of the new shows that I've seen:

Big Bang Theory - I like it, but of course...I can appreciate dorky humor.

K-Ville - Only saw it once. I think they were trying too hard to be deep and meaningful.

Pushing Daisies - This show got great reviews, but after seeing 3 episodes now...I'm not too impressed.

Life - Okay...I didn't see anything that made it stand out though.

I have seen a couple of episodes of k-ville.. I like it..

although I don't think it has all its ducks in a row.. I mean they will have a drive by or something with the cops standing in the building and the next scene shows the cops in full pursuit right behind them..

plus its a little unrealistic.. I mean come on lets have a shoot out with machine guns.. in every episode..

My favorite new show so far is definitely Big Bang Theory.... The dialog exchange at times is hilarious. But I'm not sure how long they can keep it funny... But the first few episodes have been great...

Other than this show there is nothing that I'm crazy about so far as far as new shows...

My wife didn't find it to funny, but I've been laughin' my ass off.

I have been watching Dirty Sexy Money. It is pretty good. Also tuned into Big Shots. It is ok.

I'm hooked on Dexter. (Showtime) Great show.
I think I will be watching Next Great American Band.
I saw the last hour of it Fri. There was some good stuff on there. I enjoyed Rockstar when that was on too.

I like K-ville, Life, Torchwood (BBC), Big Shots (just so absurdly trashy), Moonlight, Bionic Women (battlestar cast ahoy!)and of course, Californication.

Oh, I was channel surfing and ran across John and Kate Plus 8. It is on TLC. I hate reality shows but this is about a couple that had two kids and were trying for a third. They ended up with septuplets. Pretty boring show, but I the woman (Kate) is a total bitch/nag.

You sure you weren't watching Lifetime?

They live about 30 miles from me...and yes, she seems like a bitch/nag on the show. I don't know them personally, but a few people I work with do know them. I'm told this: Just because they're on TV doesn't mean they're super parents - although she sometimes thinks they are.

Been enjoying Stargate Universe, The Nostradamus Effect, MysteryQuest, and of course Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives....lol

Madhouse is good. Sons of Anarchy, Swamp loggers, Modern family are
all getting my attention.

I'm still waiting for Lost to start back up.

Other than that, Big Bang Theory is the only other show I really like.

No. Is that the new "007-looking" show?

Yea, but with some of the worst writing in the world. In the pilot, they were on a runaway train. They never once mentioned going to the front to just slow it down. In the next one, he had to land a jumbo jet. He got it stuck, flying upside down,on fire, into a huge storm. The a team was more real.

I LOVED the A-team. Can't wait for the movie!
