Blake and I both win !!!

I wish he would win!! Jordin is a little too syrupy for me. And I think she's one of those who was born with a silver spoon. Blake should do really well though, even without the title! Funny how winning actually hurts the more talented (offbeat) winners. I'm hoping Taylor can get back on track now that his year with Clive is almost over!

I do think Clive is holding him back. Time will tell.

I think it will be Blake. I just can't see 30 million teenage girls
vote for a teenage girl.

My sure-fire predictor (not DialIdol) is waffling on the Jordin prediction!!

umm yeah...

I did the final update on the scoring. What a fubarred year this first one was. We need to remember the pitfalls and choose some more solid rules for next year, huh? Overall, it went pretty well...for a maiden voyage.

This year gets chalked up, no bragging rights to the winner... (I'm so mean to myself)! When we have solid rules then we can make this a better, bragging type of event.

Meanwhile, thanks for playing my little game, guys!

One thing to ponder is the ultimate idol bonus. If somebody had picked Jordin all the way it really wouldn't matter who they picked each week. Kind of like if Blake would have won I would have smoked you guys.

This is how I see it being done. Just my 3 cents of course.

You get bonus points for on the earliest consecutive week that you pick that person. Should you chose to change people then your default moves to your new person.

Example: I pick Jordin in week 10 and week 9 and week 8. Then in week 7 I change my mind and pick Melinda. Then in week 4 I change my mind again and pick Jordin again. I get week 4 bonus points only not week 10, 9, 8, 4, 3, and 2 totaled.
Make sense?

Okay-that took me a minute to get, but I gotcha now!

I modeled ours pretty closely to my buddy who came up with the idea on his blog. He's doing a bonus each week with the UI, but if you change your UI it hurts you because he's doubling the points you get for each week you choose that UI and that UI stays. He's rethinking it, so I'm waiting to see how he's going to score us. (He's wayyyy behind on scoring).

I like that you get bonus points each week for UI. It's pretty hard to choose the Ultimate Idol when there's 23 other people to choose from, so if you smoke us by knowing early that it's gonna be Blake in the FinalTwo, so be it. But yeah, on my other board, one of the girls got like 1600 UI points.

Anyway, I'll be thinking about it.

What's the opinion on the Bottom Three? I was thinking it might be a good 'middle of the game' addition. But I have to review our weeks and see which weeks we had trouble with that part of the game working.

All in all, it was fun! I wish it would've went a little smoother, but it was our first time.
