Gentz,

I am interested in reading learning how to use a JTAG cable.
It looks like most people build their own cables, and that
there are two routes, buffered and simple.

What is the difference between the two?
Anythings to keep in mind in building a cable?

Thanks
MG

I don't think there is much difference between the two, a buffered powers up by a 9v battery and a simple uses the lpt to power it up.
Length is the only thing to watch out for, keep it under 12".
Most jtags uses 100 ohms resistors.
