Allright folks.....I thought I would put some of my combat pay torwards a new computer. I've been wanting to buy the new Powerbook Pro 17" ever since I heard about Boot Camp. But I've never talked to anyone that has actually used it.

Have any of you guys ever used a MAC??

Can I continue to be a Video Pirate on a new MAC?? Is the software out there to burn and rip movies?? AnyDVD work on a mac??

So many questions and such little time.

Thanks!!

Well wit the new Intel based chip and a program called Parallels you can run Windows in Native mode. Not emulation.
There is also a program called Mac the Ripper that is freeware that Rips most DVDs.

I'd like to get a mac for my gf. I wouldn't mind one for myself either but there are a few (about 4) programs I need to run on pc. I can't see shelling out the money for a mac just to turn around and run Winders on it.Not saying it's not worth it. They are great machines.
I don't even know where I'm going with this lol guess I'm saying it'd be nice to have the money for both!

I'm gonna get one. Pro Book 17" I think I;m gonna get the refurbished one from the Apple web site. It's an easy way to save 500 bones. I went to a local authorized Mac Dealer...and let me tell you. QUALITY PRODUCT. When ever I'm looking at buying a laptop, I always look at the "flex" the case might have. The power book has none!!

And...with over 100 gb on the HD and 2 gig of memory.....built in bluetoothe, all the ports I'll ever need.....I think this could easily be the Desktop replacement I need/want.

When i get her, I'm gonna name her Big Momma!! and I'll post some pics.

Make sure you get the Apple Care extended warranty.

It is one of the fastest notebooks on the planet.
