It was a great season finale. Cylon control and the dipshit president surrendering. The fleet leaves with Starbuck, Col. Tigh, and others left behind on the planet.

I can't wait for October !!!!

Yup... Damn... Wish I got the Sci-Fi channel in HD.... Suppose I always would wait until each episode showed up on UPNHD.... Don't see that happening.... One of the best shows if not the best on television.. Plus the fact that Starbuck is hot.....

I've just started watching this season's shows.... missed seasons 1 and 2 as well as the mini-series.

I have to say that this show is a lot more interesting than I thought it was going to be. I went and found the mini-series and seasons 1 and 2 just to catch up. Just finished watching the MS and S1... now I have to find time to watch all of S2...

A couple questions:

Do you think Col. Tigh's wife was one of the 11 models of Cylon? Remember - she mysteriously showed up on one of the colonies ships weeks after the invasion and no one remembered her being there??

#2 - why is it in the shows weekly intro they say there were 41,000 survivors but in the mini series, the President was keeping track on how many were left and it was around 47,000??

I remember early on when they first located the wife and brought her to the Galactica there was some hinting that she was indeed a cylon but they never seemed to followed that up or play it out and in the end seems like maybe she wasn't one after all. Though it would be a way to introduce her back onto the show and a way to get the colonel out of his funk I guess...

Kind of hard to miss....

Woo Hoo !!! I watched the new episode last night and this show still rocks !!!

I also got a surprise when we got our February issue of Playboy in the mail earlier this month. A nice photo spread of Tricia Helfer (Number Six).

Now we need a spread on Lucy Lawless (Number Three).

Who do you think the Cylon is that Number Three saw ?
I'm guessing it's not Baltar.

No way it's Baltar because that would be too obvious... It'll have to be somebody totally surprising and off the wall like Adama....

Starbuck is a good possibility since they sort of made a point of referencing the painting that she painted.... I don't think it'll be the president....

My thought is this: in the orig series, Starbuck had contact with those cheesy aliens that were trying to help him. The ones that made his uniform turned white when he was around them. Well i think there is some, less cheesy version of them behind this.

I just watched the Season Finale last night. Pretty good. I like that Baltar was found not guilty and the cute girls are going to hide him out.

What was your take on the four that heard the music. Are they really Cylons? Tigh said he has served the fleet for 40 years, hmmmm.

And was Starbuck real or appearing in Lee's head like Number Six does to Baltar at the end?

I noticed the music a couple of shows ago, in the bar. I remeber thinking it was strange and would work into the show somehow.

I dont buy that the 4 are cylons. I think it is a brain washing thing. But on the flip side, it seems they are the only ones that can hear it. Guess we will find out next fucking year. That blows.

Once again - awesome writing in this series. That's why it is one of the top 10 on TV today.

I missed the first 40 minutes of the episode, but caught the ending. I'll have to d/l the epi.

edit: Just watched the whole episode! I can't believe this won't be back until 2008! Absolutely brilliant writing!

Well another season has ended and we are left hanging in pretty much total confusion... And they said that it will be returning in 2008. 2008? Good grief. They seemed like they just came back on with new episodes and now we have to wait until 2008 to find out what the hell is going on?

Nice season opening episode. The visual of the battle in the opening 10 minutes or so was pretty awesome.... This should be interesting final season. They have to finally make it to earth while also finding out who the 5th cylon is. No way that it's Starbuck. They are trying to make you think that it might be her with things that have happened in this show as well as some things in some past shows but no way is it her. But it will be one of the other regulars.... I'm thinking either the Prez or Adama...

I don't think it's Adama because he has sons and they made such a big deal about Boomer's baby being the first Cylon-Human baby.

I also don't think it's Starbuck, she is just doing what she thinks is right for the fleet.

The President or Baltar....

Irony is the pure hatred the Pres has for Cylons - and she ends up being one!

Or Baltar who was convinced he was one last season but told he was not by Number Six. She probably did that to keep him "motivated" towards her overall "Plan" - whatever that is going to be...

It's looking more and more like the Cylons are just using the humans to find Earth, and once they do - lights out. They have 4 known cylons in the Colonial Fleet right now, so chances are, the humans will never be able to keep the route to Earth a secret, when or if they do find it...

Well Adama being a father might rule him out but you never know with a scifi show... I just don't think it's Baltar because that would be just too obvious... The more I think about it I suspect it will be the prez... One reason is her insistence on keeping to their current route or course even with Starbuck claiming they are going the wrong way.... Though this would possibly shoot down the theory that the Cylons are just letting the fleet lead them to earth.... They have so many different directions they can take this show... In the end they will probably have a twist not even thought of by any of us yet... Should be a very interesting season to say the least...

The pres. almost died of cancer, and it is now back. Cyolons don't get cancer as far as I know. I think the obvious one is the one. Baltar.

I understand your reasoning - but the Cylons are trying to mimic humans by making themselves look human plus they have been trying to conceive on their own.

With that, I wouldn't rule out they could not get cancer just yet. Maybe the Prez's "cancer" is really a mask for hearing that song that was playing over and over in the new 4???

Either way, this is one very well written story line and although I hate to see it end, I have to say it will be nice it exits on it's own terms and not one of ratings.

One question - does anyone know how many episodes are in season 4? Epguides.com only lists 8 episodes - there has to be more than that!!! What do they think this is - Jericho??? ;\)

This site says 20.

I like the idea of the Prez being a cylon. I don't remember them saying that cylons can't get cancer. An entire colony of cylons was destroyed by a human virus in one episode.

Yeah, and only 2 episodes in to a 20 episode season - lots of time left for some interesting storys.

I had to admit - I predicted the part where Starbuck gets her own ship and sets off to find the path to Earth. It was the most logical thing - a low priority ship (trash incinerator?) that won't be all that missed sent off to follow her feelings. It gets her off the Admirals back and allows for another story line....

I see Baltar gets to poke another cylon!!

All right, is it me or did the story line start to become dragged out over the last few weeks? It doesn't seem to be moving along here!

It does seem to be a little. The alliance with the Cylon base ship is interesting though.

Starbuck is the harbinger of death. Hmmmm ?

Yeah, but for whom?? The hybrid didn't say who she would lead to their deaths.... just that she would lead "them" to their deaths.... I'll bet it's something to do with the other cylon fleet??

Yeah - I'm not real happy with this either. Another freaking 6 months until the ending?? Talk about dragging it out.

So what are your thoughts on the finding of Earth? Some are suggesting that a war knocked it out thousands of years prior to their arrival. Others are convinced the other Cylon group found it first and nuked it... Kind of a twist to the "season" finale, huh?

It looked like "old" destruction. If the other Cylon group nuked it I would think the debris would not of looked so aged.

I'm definitely wanting to know more!!!

I thought the ending was well done..... The one little thing I like that they did was that when the Galatica headed off toward the sun for it's final end they played the theme from the original tv series.... Nice touch...

Also what about the 2 hour special show coming this fall they advertised towards the end? Battlestar Galactica The Plan... Guess they want to tie up loose ends for all of the Cylons left behind or something?

I thought the spinoff show was called "Caprica"? They were showing previews the other night during another show on SciFi.

Either way - the series was top notch! I'm glad it went out while it was so popular and didn't try and drag out the storyline until the cows came home.... I did notice the music thing as well when the ships were headed for the Sun - nice.

I was spot on about Starbuck - an angel. She kind of gave it away during the documentary special last week, "The last frakkin' special" when she mentioned how she struggled with what this character was supposed to be and how frustrated she was playing this part. The writer had mentioned to her that was exactly the way the charachter was supposed to be and she admitted after the taping was over that she liked the way the character was - in retrospect. It came together at the end.

Hats off to the writers, producers, and actors for a top notch show! It will be hard to replace it. I'm not expecting much from Caprica... we'll see.

Caprica looks like a daytime soap, set on another planet.
