Is there any camera out on the market that is both a digital and 35mm film camera out there? I would like it to have some decent optics too, so no cheapy knockoff china cerealbox stuff counts.

The Canon REBEL is very nice... It's a digital SLR, so it has the 6Mpix and RISC processing, plus the ability to use any compatable lens ewe want...

Got my wife one for Christmas a coupla' years ago, and it's still da tits.
(I took around 300 softball pix with it last week.)

Gets all 5 monkey stars.

I'm of the opinion that film is sorta on the way out... too many eco-headaches with the chemicals involved in all phases.
Digital storage is soon gonna be one's only viable option.
Just my 2˘.

Oh, and have I mentioned lately...?

Yeah, I know film is on it's way out, but the printing of pics and different sizing with digital is still kinda in the development stage in my opinon. It's pretty nice to have some negatives and take them to your local photo outfit and pic what exactly you want.

I have both a digital and film right now, but nothing with any kind of good zoom and the digital is only a 1.2megapixel. That 1.2 meg is a Canon, but man it seems like it's a 3meg or bigger. And I like the Canon's, so I've been looking at getting that Dig SLR and then get the SLR Film K2 or T2. Problem is that would be like $1,200 later.

That kind of money for 2 cameras makes you feel like your bending over.

I've still been lusting over the Canon S2 IS. I'm not totally decided, but I think that might be a Christmas time buy. I really like my old Canon and would prefer to get another one.
