I had to take the computer to a computer guy for hard drive issues. When I got it back and turned it on, thru the start up, it got to a certain point, then started over then went thru completely. Well, I let it go. Hell, it was working. Then it ran updates. It looped itself 4 times then went thru completely. Then Friday night (miraculously 30 days after he fixed it, and as the warranty expired) it ran updates, and then it looped and wouldnt stop.

My friend Mike (who owns this thing) used my laptop, and googled stop: c0000213 which is the error that accompanied this loop. He clicked on this link http://www.justanswe...en-message.html

He borrowed XP Home with sp2 from a buddy, and did what that link told him to do.

The computer has no ethernet driver. I dont know what else is missing. But I do know that there is no fucking internet. And I am getting pissy and ready to throw the fucking computer because he is a damn gamer and is going thru withdraw type symptoms. I need help NOW. Can anyone, in Momma-ese (small generic words) help me? Please!!!!

Be happy to. Is it a custom built machine or a brand name? If a brand name can you list the make and model or better yet, service ID tag if there is one? It will help me determine the brand/model of network card installed.

If anyone is sticking around and can help (and I've already gone to bed), I've got her identifying the motherboard manuf. and model via CPU-Z. She'll just need a link to the network card drivers from the manuf. website once she's able to post what motherboard she has.

Thats great that you got her to find out the manufacture. but you didn't post it here..... doh!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, she hadn't sent that info back yet before posting it to the forum. Haven't heard back yet tho I sent her to ASUS's site for that specific board and gave her NIC instructions. Once that's installed the rest can be downloaded directly.
