I am not sure who I gave reach around to but, the summer has been
good to me as a fan.

I got 4 VIP suite tickets for the Nationwide race that was back in
June at Road America and we tore the place up.

So today I open the mail and there are 4 tickets for both the Nationwide
and the Cup races Fri and Sat night this week at Chicagoland
Speedway along with passes to Lifelock's hospitality tent where
Mark Martin and Jeff Gordon will make appearances.

I have no clue as to how these are getting to me unless it goes back
to the days I did some stuff for Penske, but then I would get
Penske hospitality and VIP tickets.

As they say don't look a gift horse in the mouth and I am not.

So if one of you watches the race and sees the dumbest looking guy
with 3 other morons that would be me.

That would be quite difficult at a Nascar race!!

One of the three other other morons won a Mark Martin signed
cap and jacket. I told him all winnings were mine. LOL

I also forgot to switch out my drivers due to the frenzy of driving
both ways two days in a row. Got my ass kicked in the Fantasy group.

I think the Joliet police are still looking for me because after the
Cup race we were not waiting in a three hour parking lot cluster
f*^k. So I new the back way around to the drag strip service area
where there is a gate. It was unlocked so we slid it open and
flew out of there. A cop saw us but could not get to us due to traffic.
It was so dark over there I do not think he got the plate or could
even call out a good description on the radio. He was on his PA
speaker screaming at me. LMAO. Got home in 2.5 hours. I made a
cell call to another group that was down there and thy were just
getting on the highway being stuck in the parking lot 3 hours.
It was worse than Bristol. Joliet has really got to figure out
a better system for events. They have 4 entry gates and they make
everybody leave through one gate WTF?!?!?!
All of that to watch Reutimann win?? Ackk.

I am probably going to get rid of my Indy car tickets
because I am not going to deal with that parking lot again.

LOL! That's why I stopped going to MIS. We used to sit around, eat, drink and play cards for two hours after a race and STILL sit in traffic for 1-2 hours. I heard recently that they've got the traffic cleared in about an hour now...but I'm afraid to find out for myself.

Dover used to be an absolute horror. All of the red lights on 13 were left in automatic mode and there were no cops around either. Sometime in the late 90's they had DEL DoT employees running the lights and cops at the major intersections, along with helicopters keeping tabs on traffic flow. It may have taken them 30 years, but they finally got it right.

They must have rednecks in Delaware too!

I need to get back to the track. I miss seeing all the "free mammogram" signs.

Don't forget the "Free Halter Installation" signs.

With some of the cows that are at the track, you have to pick and choose very wisely.

He has been in than infernal mess exiting the track.

The only good thing for me was that I ended up in a pack of other
German car Autobahn Chicago traffic and set the cruise at over 90mph
for close to 80 miles. There were about ten of us in the pack.
Made it home in record time. If they used the iPass tolls to check
my speed I would have a big ticket headed my way. Luckily IL does
not use that trick yet.
